A Serengeti migration and a Kruger game drive are extraordinary, and most of our wildlife travellers have already done both. India is not a substitute — it is a different proposition. You track one animal rather than scan for many, in forest rather than open plain, and you find it in a country whose temples, palaces and food would justify the flight on their own.
